This website was established in December 2017 as a means of highlighting critical and literary texts, films, art and other primary and secondary source material which teachers of German may wish to draw on when designing their curriculum. We hope that this will encourage the teaching of a wider variety of material within our subject – beyond the traditional canonical texts which have tended to dominate curricula to the exclusion of other voices and approaches.
Eventually, we will commission blog posts to appear here from specialists in a range of areas, who will discuss how German Studies teaching might be diversified in ways which relate to their research specialism. In the meantime, please click ‘About’, above, to find out more about the project, or ‘Bibliography’ to skip straight to the interactive bibliography.
You can propose material to be added to the bibliography via this web form.
